DrCloudEHR provides an interface that allows you to exchange data on emergency room services provided to patients with the Collective Medical Emergency Department Information Exchange (EDIE). The interface is bidirectional to enable you to send enrollment data for patients in selected programs to the EDIE, then retrieve and upload emergency room visit data for patients to DrCloudEHR.

View Submitted File Status

DrCloudEHR submits enrollment data for all patients in specified programs to the EDIE on a daily basis. A scheduled task runs each day to extract patient data from DrCloudEHR and submit the data in .csv format.

You can view the status of data submission based on the following criteria:

  • Date range
  • Submission status
  • Program name
  • Patient name or ID

To view enrollment data submission status:

  1. Click the Practice tab.
  2. Expand the Interfaces tab in the left navigation bar, and then expand ER Visits Information.
  3. Click the Generated/Submitted tab.
  4. Select the search criteria, and then click Search

View Patient Visit Data Received from the EDIE

DrCloudEHR retrieves ER visit data for patients for whom enrollment data has been submitted to the EDIE on a daily basis. You can retrieve records based on date range and patient.

The application matches each visit record with the corresponding patient, and uploads the record to the patient's chart in DrCloudEHR. To view the records for a patient, lick the Other tab at the top of the patient chart page, and then click the ER Visits Information tab.

The members of each patient's care team also receive an Inbox notification that a visit record has been received from the EDIE.

To view data received from the EDIE:

  1. Click the Practice tab.
  2. Expand the Interfaces tab in the left navigation bar, and then expand ER Visits Information.
  3. Click the Received tab.
  4. Select the search criteria, and then click Search

  5. Optionally click CSV Export to download the search results in a .csv file.
  6. Click the icon in the Report column to view the record received for a patient. You can also click the download icon in the Received Batch File column to download all data received in .csv format.
