This feature enables clients to securely share their records through the portal.
Configuring ROI Form and Notifications
- Before clients can share records, administrators must configure:
- Which ROI (Release of Information) form should be used?
- Who should be notified when a client shares records?
- To configure these settings, navigate to: Practice > Portal ROI Notification Settings.
Accessing ROI Forms on the Portal
- A new tab called ROI Forms is available on the client portal.
- It includes two options:
- Share My Records – Click to share new records.
- Existing ROI’s – Click to view previously shared records.
Sharing New Records
- Go to the ROI Forms tab in the portal.
- Click Share My Records.
- The configured ROI form will open.
- Fill out the form, e-sign it, and click Submit.
- A notification will be sent to the designated staff (as per the notification settings).
Viewing Existing Shared Records
- Click Existing ROI’s under the ROI Forms tab.
- The list of previously shared records will be displayed.
- Revoking Shared Records
- Clients can revoke a previously submitted ROI form by going to:
- Portal > ROI Forms > Existing ROI’s

Staff Review in DrCloud
- Shared ROI forms are available to staff at: Patients > Portal Forms
- A new Resend ROI button is available for each form.
- Clicking Resend ROI will send a notification to the client.
- The client will see the request in the Portal > ROI Forms tab with a link to reopen and complete the form.
Resharing Records
- 935pxIf staff resend an ROI form, clients will see a message under the Portal > ROI Forms tab.
- The message includes a link to open the form and reshare records.
