You can print labels to attach to procedure orders or specimens that you submit to Cytocheck Labs or Redwood Toxicology Labs. You can define reusable templates that are used to format labels. Within the template, you define fields that correspond include in the label. You map each field to the corresponding data in the procedure order form.

  1. Click the Practice tab.
  2. Expand the Labels tab, then click Templates. The page displays existing templates.
  3. Click Create Template.
  4. Specify name, label dimensions in inches, and font size. Labels are printed in the Helvetica font.



  5. Click Add Field.
  6. Enter a name to use in the label, and then map the field to the corresponding data entry field in the lab procedure order.



  7. Select whether the field contains text or dates in MM/DD/YYYY format.
  8. If the field contains text, enter the maximum number of characters the field contains in the Length field.
  9. Click Add to add the field to the template. Repeat this process for each field you want to include in the label.
  10. Click Save when you are finished to save the template. The template appears on the Label Templates page. You can click the pencil icon to make changes to the template.
