Follow these instructions to accurately input vital signs into a patient's chart.
- Navigate to the patient's page and locate the vitals tab. If the tab is not visible, select the "more" option to find it.
- Once you have selected the vitals tab, click on the "new" button to begin entering the vitals.
- Input the patient's vital signs. The ideal body weight is based on your calculations of what you believe the person's body weight should be.
- Enter any relevant numbers you have for the patient. Note that circumference measurements may not be required in some organizations.
- You can add additional notes in the provided section. This may include the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) or other optional items.
- Remember that the only required fields are the weight, height, and date.
- After filling in the necessary information, save the data. The patient's vitals will then be stored in their chart for future reference.
