DrCloudEHR provides an interface that generates XML files containing encounter form data required by Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs & Strengths (IM+CANS).

The interface pulls in data from IM+CANS forms, such as the IM+CANS Personal Health Survey, and Health Risk Assessment (HRA) forms that are attached to patient encounters. DrCloudEHR generates an XML file containing the data. Only data from completed forms that are attached to encounters is included in the generated XML files.

After you generate a file, you manually upload it to the IM+CANS Provider Portal.

  1. Click the Practice tab.
  2. Expand the Interfaces tab, and then click IM+CANS Manager.
  3. Select the date range for encounter form data to include in the generated files. All closed encounters within the range will be retrieved.
  4. Select the type of XML form to generate. You can only choose one type.
  5. Optionally select the form status to retrieve encounters for.
  6. Select the checkbox for each encounter to include in the generated file. Data for all of the selected encounters is included in a single generated file.
  7. Click Download XML Batch to generate and download the XML file.
  8. After you submit the file to IM+CANS, select the date range for the file, and then select Downloaded in the Status column. The table displays all encounters for which XML files have been generated and downloaded.
  9. Select the checkbox for each submitted file, and then click Change Status to Submitted.
