Navigating to the Tasks Tab

To begin scheduling a task, start from the home page of your task management tool. From there, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Tasks Tab: Click on the "Tasks" tab on the home page.
  2. View All Tasks: Select "View All" from the dropdown menu to see all your tasks.

Scheduling a New Task
When scheduling a new task, follow these steps to enter the necessary information:

  1. Create a New Task: Click on the option to create a new task.
  2. Assign the Task: By default, the task will be assigned to yourself. You can assign it to yourself or to someone else if needed.
  3. Set the Task Status: Since you're just scheduling the task, the status will be set to "Not Started." You can change this status to "In Progress," "Waiting on Someone Else," "Completed," or "Deferred" if applicable.
  4. Enter the Task Subject: You can select a subject from predefined options or type in a custom subject. For example, "Send a Letter for Recertification."
  5. Select Contacts: Choose contacts from your existing contact list. You can add additional contacts if necessary.
  6. Set a Due Date: Choose a due date for the task. For example, you might give yourself a week to complete it.
  7. Set Priority: Determine the priority of the task—normal, high, or low. For most tasks, keeping it at normal priority is sufficient.
  8. Add Comments or Description: Enter any additional details or comments regarding the task.

Saving and Editing the Task

Once you have entered all the necessary details, save the task. If you need to make any changes later, you can:

  1. Edit the Task: Click on the pencil icon to edit the task details.
  2. Mark as Complete: Once the task is finished, mark it as complete.
  3. Update Comments and Due Dates: You can edit comments, change the due date, or even create a follow-up task.

Managing Your Tasks
From the home page, you can view all your tasks by selecting "View All." This allows you to:

  1. Access and Update Tasks: Click on any task to view or update its details.
  2. Change Task Status: As you progress with your task, you can change its status to "In Progress" or any other appropriate status.
    By following these steps, you can efficiently schedule, manage, and track your tasks, ensuring that you stay organized and productive.
