How to Schedule a Medical Appointment and Prepare for Consultation
Scheduling a medical appointment and preparing for a consultation involves several straightforward actions. Follow the outlined process to ensure everything is in order for the visit.

  1. From your home page, select "New Event."
  2. Choose between a clinical appointment or a service appointment.
  3. A new event pop-up box will appear.
  4. Select your specialization. For example, if referring a patient to a neurologist, choose neurology.
  5. After selecting the specialization, a list of patients assigned to you will be displayed. Choose the person you are sending to the neurologist.
  6. The system will show the two physicians or specialists listed under your physician list for neurology.
  7. Select the clinic where the appointment will take place.
  8. If needed, enter a subject in the subject box.
  9. Choose the start date and time for the appointment. For instance, if scheduling for next Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., it will default to a duration of one hour, which can be adjusted as necessary.
  10. You are the attendee by default, but you can assign the appointment to another staff member who will accompany you.
  11. The appointment status will be marked as "scheduled" since the appointment has not yet occurred.
  12. Indicate the type of appointment as a follow-up or initial visit.
  13. Provide detailed information regarding the reason for the appointment in the designated field.
  14. Optionally, add any relevant contacts.
  15. Save the appointment.
  16. Navigate to your calendar and scroll to the date of the appointment. Select the appointment and choose "More Details."
  17. Select "Unrelated" and scroll down to find the medical consultation form.
  18. Print the medical consultation form, which includes the reason for the visit and healthcare concerns.
  19. Bring the printed form to the appointment for the physician to fill out and sign.
  20. After the appointment, file the completed medical consultation form in the patient's chart. Upload the form in the file repository under the patient's files section.
By following these actions, you can effectively schedule and prepare for a medical appointment.
