You can use DrCloudEHR to record Medicare behavioral health supplemental data that is submitted to the Behavioral Health Data System (BHDS).
You capture the supplemental data in three forms after the patient is admitted to a BHDS facility or program. DrCloudEHR validates the required fields in each form on a daily basis. When all of the forms are complete, you can download the supplemental data to an HL7 file and it it Beacon Health Options, which serves as a clearinghouse for BHDS.
You must configure a facility or program to submit data to BHDS.
After you admit a patient to a facility or program configured to use BHDS, you must complete the BHDS forms in DrCloudEHR.
You search for supplemental data transactions in the Supplemental Data Manager in DrCloudEHR. The application displays the search results in a table.
If one or more required fields in the BHDS forms do not pass the daily validation check, the data transaction is in the Pending status. The incomplete fields are displayed in the Action field in the search results table.
Transactions that are ready for download are indicated by the Ready For Submission status. Click the Download link in the in the Action column of the table to download an HL7 file containing the supplemental data.
Click the Practice tab.
Expand the BHDS tab, then click the Supplemental Data Manager tab.
Enter search criteria to retrieve the data transactions you need, and then click Search.
